To put 20,000 hours in perspective – that’s over two years of solidly watching TV, day and night. We’re not sure anyone would want to do that, and while we don’t advise it, isn’t it great to have the option!

Freeview Play viewers can now choose from over 20,000 hours of on-demand content, all for free, strengthening Freeview’s hold as the UK’s fastest-growing TV platform.

The news comes following the addition of My5 on Freeview Play devices, which launched in June. My5 joined BBC iPlayer, ITV Hub, All 4, UKTV Play, CBS Catchup Channels UK and Horror Bites on the Freeview Play line-up.

Freeview Play has tons of the best TV that viewers love. But of course, viewers can also easily top up with extra services to curate their own perfect TV package, such as Amazon Prime, which offers 22,600 hours, and NOW TV, which offers customers hundreds of box-sets, movies, reality TV and ad-free kids content, as well as live sport events.

Launched in 2015, Freeview Play has now sold over 7 million devices and boasts over 4 million users. Freeview Play makes it easy for viewers to find their favourite shows and discover new ones. Viewers can use the universal search functionality and browse a carousel of handpicked content recommendations from across the platform.
