Dan Snow MBE
Historian & Broadcaster
Dan is a multi-award-winning historian and broadcaster making programmes around the world on a wide range of historical topics.
After graduating from Oxford University with a double first, Dan began presenting military history programmes with his father, the veteran broadcaster Peter Snow. Numerous BBC history series and live broadcasts – including the 75th anniversary of D-Day in 2019 – followed. In 2017 Dan co-founded and became Creative Director of SVOD service History Hit TV, described by Forbes as “the Netflix of History”. History Hit TV was acquired by media network Little Dot Studios in 2020.
Dan has since presented several history series on Channel 5, including last year’s The World’s Greatest Archaeological Discoveries, the channel’s first co-production with History Hit and Little Dot Studios. Dan was awarded an MBE in the 2019 Birthday Honours for services to history.
