Nicôle Lecky

Nicôle is an award-winning writer, actor, and singer-songwriter. Her critically acclaimed stage monologue Superhoe, developed with Talawa and The Yard Theatre, played at The Royal Court Theatre in 2019.
The TV adaptation of Superhoe, retitled Mood, debuted on BBC Three and AMC in 2022. Nicôle wrote and executive produced all six episodes, played the lead role, and co-wrote and performed the music. Nicôle won two BAFTA Awards for Best Mini-Series and Original Soundtrack for Mood alongside two RTS awards.
Nicôle’s latest six-part series for Firebird Pictures and BBC One – which she has written and is exec producing – dives into the world of teenage girls and their mothers.
Nicôle’s acting credits for television include the upcoming Sweetpea for Sky One, Sense8 for Netflix and BBC One’s Death in Paradise. Nicôle previously won a BAFTA Breakthrough Award in 2022 as well as the Netflix New Talent Award at the Women in Film & TV Awards.
